Simon Paterson began seeing practice while still a Tamworth schoolboy in 1987, when the practice was still known as Steel-Bodger, Pegg and Sergeant, helping out most weekends and establishing a relationship with the practice and its clients whose farms he often also worked on.

After qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1998 he immediately started work at Riversmeet and in 2001 become a Partner.

Initially involved with all the farm, equine and small animal sides of the practice he began focusing more on the small animals (cats, dog, rabbits, etc) and ophthalmology in particular. During this time the small animal side of the practice expanded from a three-vet practice to what we have achieved today.

When not at work he enjoys gardening, travelling and the company of his cats!
