  • Linnaeus Graduate Development Scheme

Our Graduate Development Programme offers extensive and robust support across both our primary care and referral surgeries in Tamworth and Atherstone.

We have more staff with advanced qualifications and provide more state-of-the-art services than any other local vet practice. Our team of 9 highly experienced vets with certificate holders in ophthalmology and imaging and others working towards surgery and internal medicine. The vets are backed up by a great team of RVNs, many of whom have been with the practice for 15-20 years and are a nurse training practice.

As a Graduate, you may have the chance to be involved in (dependent on caseload):

  • Laparoscopic spays and biopsies
  • Advanced soft tissue surgeries alongside in-house orthopaedics (including TPLO, fracture repair, arthroscopy, etc.)
  • Ophthalmology cases
  • In-house chemo and endoscopy
  • And a few exotic cases!

You will join a 1.5 in 6 rota for Saturdays working alongside an experienced team (so no sole charge weekends), and our out-of-hours is covered by Willows in Solihull for a good work-life balance. We have supported new grads through the Linnaeus GDP, who have then stayed on to join our amazing team!

Riversmeet in Staffordshire is a great place to work with an emphasis on people - a really close-knit team who support each other and socialise out of work with dog walks, cinema trips and we even love a good pub quiz!

Applications for our Linnaeus Graduate Scheme are accepted through our central application system and the scheme opens for applications in October each year. Please check the Graduate page on the Linnaeus website for more information on applying and to see whether our practice is looking for a graduate this year.
